“Badlav Rally” in Moga, Punjab
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a massive “Badlav Rally” in Moga, Punjab, on 14 March 2026, marking the beginning of the BJP’s campaign for the 2027 state elections. The rally witnessed a large turnout, reflecting significant public enthusiasm.
Criticizing the current AAP government led by Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Shah highlighted widespread failures in governance, law and order, and economic management. He accused the state leadership of prioritizing political interests over Punjab’s development, stating that industries are leaving, unemployment is rising, and farmers face uncertainty. He also claimed that the government has failed to fulfil key promises, including job creation, drug eradication, and welfare measures.
Shri Amit Shah further highlighted corruption in several projects and criticized excessive spending on advertisements. He pointed to rising crime, including incidents involving gangsters and attacks on public officials, to underline what he described as a breakdown of law and order. Addressing the issue of drug abuse, he promised that a BJP government would eliminate the drug problem within two years.
On farmers’ issues, the Home Minister highlighted the Modi government’s increased agricultural budget, expansion of MSP procurement, and direct financial support through schemes benefiting millions of farmers.
Punjab needs strong and effective leadership
The Union Home Minister also urged voters to allow the BJP to govern Punjab, promising development, employment, improved law and order, and freedom from drugs. He emphasized that Punjab needs strong and effective leadership focused on governance and public welfare rather than political theatrics.
