The sleeping giant is awakening

In a historic and transformative verdict, the people of West Bengal have delivered a decisive mandate for Asol Poriborton, electing the Bharatiya Janata Party with a spectacular 207 seats in the 294-member Assembly marking the beginning of a new political era in Bengal. This massive mandate reflects the people’s rejection of corruption and loot, political violence, syndicate culture, and appeasement politics that had come to define the previous TMC regime. The people have voted decisively for development, stability, and transparent governance under the visionary and charismatic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and for the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. The call for a “Double Engine Government” signifies Bengal’s aspiration to align itself with India’s broader journey toward Viksit Bharat.

The massive mandate in West Bengal is not merely an electoral phenomenon; it is a civilizational and ideological shift for which the BJP karykartas in particular and people in general continuously struggled, collectively dreamt and offered every kind

of sacrifices for decades. Bengal—the land of Swami Vivekananda, Shri Aurobindo, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay , Gurudev Rabindranath, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee along with countless heroes and revolutionaries —has reaffirmed its faith in nationalism, cultural pride, and decisive leadership. The message from West Bengal is loud and clear: the regressive politics of fear and division has been rejected, and the politics of performance, development, aspiration, and national unity has prevailed.

The Assembly election results in Assam and Puducherry mark yet another decisive endorsement of the governance model led by the BJP and the National Democratic Alliance under the strong and dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Modi. In Assam, the NDA’s emphatic victory with 102 seats in the 126-member Assembly, including the BJP’s standalone majority of 82 seats, reflects the people’s overwhelming trust in a politics of development, stability, and cultural pride. This historic third consecutive mandate—the first for any non-Congress alliance in the state—demonstrates public appreciation for transformative governance that has delivered peace accords, infrastructure expansion, welfare outreach, and stronger connectivity under the Act East Policy. Similarly, in Puducherry, the NDA’s comfortable majority of 18 seats signal a strong mandate for administrative stability and development-oriented governance. The decisive rejection of the Indian National Congress–DMK alliance reflects growing public preference for a governance model aligned with national developmental priorities rather than the politics of chaos, confusion and confrontation.

In Kerala, the 2026 elections mark a significant breakthrough for the BJP as it enters the state assembly with three legislatures for the first time while steadily emerging as a credible ideological and political alternative to entrenched regional and Left-dominated forces. The BJP’s increasing support among youth, professionals, and first-time voters signals a major ideological shift and growing preference for BJP among the people. In Tamil Nadu, despite a fractured verdict, the rout faced by Congress-DMK alliance and NDA’s expanding footprint reflects growing acceptance of development and performance oriented politics.

These results represent a watershed moment, with nationalism, transparent governance, and the vision of Viksit Bharat gaining stronger resonance across India. As these mandates, particularly the overwhelming blessings in West Bengal, continuously surging support in Assam and Puducherry and recognition of untiring struggle in Kerala reinforces the faith in Indian constitution and democracy, it’s also an extremely emotional moment for every BJP karyakarta across the nation. As millions of people bless BJP overwhelmingly with their ever growing support, Maa Bharati sits smiling well ensconced in her throne; the words of Swami Vivekananda reverberate in the air. He had prophesised, “There is no power on earth that can hold India back. India will rise. The sleeping giant is awakening.”
