Andhra Pradesh is moving rapidly towards prosperity: PM Modi

   Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth around Rs 13,430 crore in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh on 16 October 2025.

Addressing a large public gathering, the Prime Minister highlighted the cultural richness and talent of Andhra Pradesh, the Prime Minister described it as a land of pride, science, and innovation. He said that with visionary leaders like Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, and full support from the Central Government, Andhra Pradesh is moving rapidly towards prosperity. “Delhi and Amaravati are working hand in hand for the development of Andhra Pradesh,” he remarked, reiterating the vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.

The Prime Minister launched a series of infrastructure and energy projects that will strengthen connectivity, boost industrialization, and improve ease of living. He inaugurated a transmission project worth around 3,000 crore to enhance power capacity and announced that India’s per capita electricity consumption has risen to 1,400 units from less than 1,000 units a decade ago. He also dedicated to the nation GAIL’s Srikakulam–Angul Natural Gas Pipeline, which will supply gas to about 15 lakh households, and Indian Oil’s LPG Bottling Plant in Chittoor with a capacity of 20,000 cylinders per day. These projects, he said, will generate local employment and ensure energy security.
