Baba Saheb and the Dirty Politics of Gandhi Family

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s name is written in golden letters in the history of India. He dedicated his entire life to providing justice, equality and rights to the Dalit, deprived and backward society of India. His contribution as the architect of the Indian Constitution is incomparable. But the political game that has been played by the Congress for decades regarding his great personality and contribution is not only an insult to his ideals but also an attempt to damage the social fabric of India.

The history is a witness that the Indian National Congress never gave due respect to the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru created many moral and immoral obstacles in the way of his winning the Lok Sabha elections. It is a bitter truth that Nehru and the Congress party made every possible effort to isolate Ambedkarji from mainstream politics.

The history is a witness that the Indian National Congress never gave due respect to the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru created many moral and immoral obstacles in the way of his winning the Lok Sabha elections.

Not only this, the Gandhi-Nehru family got themselves honoured with Bharat Ratna, but Baba Saheb was not given this honour during his lifetime or even for many decades. The BJP-supported VP Singh government finally ended this historical injustice. This clearly exposes the ideological narrowness and opportunistic politics of the Congress. The Congress, who’s leaders honours themselves and their family, rejected to give due respect to a great man like Baba Saheb.

The centred point of Congress’s politics has been only power. They used the Dalit and deprived society only as a ‘vote bank’. Baba Saheb’s ideas and his struggle were always distorted by the Congress according to their political interests. The Gandhi-Nehru family also tampered with historical facts to tarnish Baba Saheb’s contribution.

In such difficult circumstances, Jansangh and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) showed respect and support towards Dr. Ambedkar. Jansangh and RSS made continuous efforts to promote his ideas and empower the Dalit society. This support was not merely symbolic but was an effort to imbibe the ideals of Baba Saheb at the ideological level. They did this many times even though they did not agree with Baba Saheb’s ideas on few occasions.

The Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given Baba Saheb the respect he deserved in accordance with his great personality and incomparable contribution. The construction of ‘Panch Teerth’— Janmasthali in Mhow, Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur, Mahaparinirvan-Bhoomi in Delhi, Ambedkar House in London and Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai— is a true tribute to Baba Saheb. The Ambedkar International Centre in Delhi and the skyscraper statue of Baba Saheb under construction in Mumbai are a symbol of Modi ji’s reverence for him.

Additionally, the decision to celebrate ‘Constitution Day’ at the national level is a historic step to keep the memories of Baba Saheb alive. The Narendra Modi government has not only given due respect to Baba Saheb but also implemented many schemes and policies for the upliftment of the Dalit and deprived society.

Prime Minister Modiji has made it clear that the respect for Baba Saheb should not be limited to mere formalities but his ideas should reach the last person in the society. The schemes launched by him— such as Jan-Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana— are concrete steps to empower the Dalit and deprived society.

The Congress and the Gandhi family have used Baba Saheb’s name only for political gain. When leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra go among the Dalit community, their efforts clearly reflect the lack of truth and honesty. The aim of their politics is only to secure the Dalit vote bank, not to work for the upliftment of the society.

Today, when the country is moving towards a strong India, the Congress Party and the Gandhi family are once again engaged in creating an atmosphere of hatred and confusion in the name of Baba Saheb. Congress’s efforts to distort the statement made by Home Minister Amit Shah ji in Parliament prove that this party does not hesitate to spread animosity in the country and damage the social fabric. This attitude of Congress is not only insulting to the Dalit community, but is also a threat to the integrity and peace of the country. The ecosystem of Congress and its supporting intellectuals are making every possible effort to maintain instability in the society. This is not only political self-interest, but a threat to national integrity. It is clear that the only objective of Congress is to return to power by any means, even if for this they have to put the social unity and peace of the country at stake.

It is the need of the hour that this divisive politics of the Congress and the Gandhi family should be permanently stopped. Exposing such political conspiracies is necessary to keep the country united and to realize the dreams of Baba Saheb.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is moving ahead by imbibing the ideals of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The steps being taken for the empowerment of the Dalit, deprived and backward society are not only a true tribute to Baba Saheb, but are also the foundation of a new, strong and self-reliant India.

Now the time has come that the people of the country should completely reject this hateful politics of Congress and Gandhi family and move forward unitedly in national interest. The India of Baba Saheb’s dreams will come true only when an environment of equality, justice and goodwill is established in the society.
