Nayab Singh Saini takes oath for second time as Chief Minister
• Prime Minister attends the grand ceremony organized at Panchkula
• 11 Cabinet and 2 Ministers of State also take the Oath
In a grand and glittering ceremony attended by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Shri Nayab Singh Saini took oath as the new Chief Minister of Haryana at Dusshera ground in Panchkula on 17 October 2024. The governor of Haryana Shri Bandaru Dattatraya administered him the oath of office and secrecy. Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP and NDA ruled states also remained present on this occasion.
The governor of Haryana Shri Bandaru Dattatraya also administered the oath of office and secrecy to 11 Cabinet Ministers and two Ministers of State. The new Cabinet Ministers include Shri Anil Vij, Shri Krishan Lal Panwar, Shri Rao Narbir Singh, Shri Mahipal Dhanda, Shri Vipul Goyal, Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma, Shri Shyam Singh Rana, Shri Ranbir Gangwa, Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi, Smt. Shruti Choudhry and Kumari Arti Singh Rao. Apart from these, Shri Rajesh Nagar and Shri Gaurav Gautam took oath as Minister of State (Independent Charge).
Apart from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP National President and Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal, Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Food Processing Industries Minister Shri Chirag Paswan, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh also attended the ceremony. Besides this, Union Ministers of State, Rao Inderjit Singh, Shri Krishan Pal, Shri Ramdas Athawale, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Smt. Anupriya Patel, and Sh. Satya Pal Singh Baghel attended the oath ceremony.
The governor of Punjab Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, The governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat, The governor of Himachal Pradesh Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, The governor of West Bengal Shri C. V. Anand Bose, Lieutenant Governor, NCT of Delhi Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena also graced the occasion. Haryana Chief Secretary Dr T.V.S.N. Prasad conducted the oath-taking ceremony.
The Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP & NDA ruled states also attended the ceremony. The Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath, Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, Gujarat Shri Bhupendra Patel, Madhya Pradesh Shri Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Odisha Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Goa Shri Pramod Sawant, Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Arunachal Pradesh Shri Pema Khandu, Andhra Pradesh Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Maharashtra Shri Eknath Shinde, Manipur Shri Nongthombam Biren Singh, Meghalaya Shri Conrad Sangma, Nagaland Shri Neiphiu Rio, Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) and Tripura Dr. Manik Saha also attended the oath ceremony.
Besides this, Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states also attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Hours before the ceremony, CM Shri Saini visited the Valmiki Bhawan and offered prayers at a gurdwara and the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula.

Leaders from across the political spectrum hailed CM Shri Nayab Singh Saini for taking the oath for a second time in Haryana.
At the oath-taking ceremony in Panchkula, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi congratulated Shri Nayab Singh Saini on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana. Shri Modi also congratulated the entire Haryana Assembly cabinet. Shri Modi remarked, “This team is a wonderful amalgamation of good governance and experience, which will take the state’s development to new heights, along with realising the dreams of the people here. I am confident that the double-engine government will leave no stone unturned in serving the poor, farmers, soldiers, youth, and women, as well as every section of society.”

LIFE SKETCH

–CM Shri Nayab Singh Saini was born in the small village of Mizapur Majra near Ambala, Haryana on 25 January 1970.
–He is a law graduate and did his LLB degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and did his B.A from B. R. Ambedkar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
–Coming from a humble family background, Shri Saini joined the Bharatiya Janata Party Ambala unit and steadily rose through the ranks.
–He became the General Secretary of Haryana BJP Kisan Morcha.
–In 2014, Shri Saini contested the Haryana state elections from Naraingarh Assembly constituency in Ambala District as a BJP candidate and won the MLA election by 24,361 votes to become a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from 2014 to 2019.
–He served as the Minister of State, Government of Haryana from 2015 to 2019.
–In the 2019 National General Election he was elected as Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra.
–He was appointed as the Bharatiya Janata Party State President of Haryana from 2023 to 2024.
–For the first time Shri Saini, assumed the charge of Chief Minister of Haryana on 12 March 2024.
–In October 2024, he won the Haryana Assembly Election from Ladwa seat in Kurukshetra District and also led the party to secure a historic third-term victory in the state.
–Shri Saini, 54, was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in a meeting held at the party office in Panchkula on October 16, 2024.
–Shri Nayab Singh Saini took oath of office on 17th October 2024 and became the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second consecutive time.
Nayab Singh Saini elected as BJP legislature party leader
Shri Nayab Singh Saini was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party in Haryana on 16 October 2024. In the presence of central observers Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav, the meeting of the BJP legislature party at the Panch Kamal party office in Panchkula was attended by all the 48 elected legislators of the party.
The name of Shri Saini was proposed by Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi MLA from Narwana after which Ambala Cantt MLA Shri Anil Vij endorsed it and all MLAs unanimously backed the choice.
Declaring Shri Saini as the BJP legislature party leader in Haryana Union Minister Shri Amit Shah said, “There was only one proposal moved by Narwana MLA Shri Krishan Bedi and it was seconded by Ambala Cantonment MLA Shri Anil Vij in favor of Shri Saini’’.
After becoming the BJP legislature party leader, Shri Nayab Singh Saini also met Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya at Haryana Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh to stake claim to form the government.
BJP government will work towards taking Haryana forward: Nayab Singh Saini
Interacting with reporters Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that the new BJP government will work towards taking Haryana forward at a rapid pace under the leadership of PM Modi. The people of Haryana have shown faith in the Modi government’s policies.
Replying to a question, Shri Saini said the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ will be fully implemented. “Look at our 2014 Sankalp Patra and 2019 Sankalp Patra, we implemented them completely and now this Sankalp Patra awill also be implemented by our government,” he said.
Noteworthy, in the recently concluded assembly polls, the BJP secured an unprecedented third term in Haryana, winning 48 seats in the 90-member assembly.
Three Independents have also extended support to the party. CM Shri Nayab Singh Saini was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party in a meeting held at the party office in Panchkula on 16 October 2024.
