One year of Delhi BJP government
BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin addressed the programme held on 08 February 2026 at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi to mark one year of the Delhi government. On this occasion, Shri Nitin Naveen flagged off 500 electric buses in Delhi. He congratulated the people of Delhi on the completion of one year of the BJP government in the national capital. Shri Nabin described initiatives such as electric buses, Yamuna cleanliness, the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and Atal Canteens as major positive steps for the citizens of Delhi. The National President said that under the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation by 2047, Delhi is moving steadily forward, and the Delhi Government is working on this path with the right intent and sound policies. During the programme, Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, BJP Delhi State President, Shri Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi Government Cabinet Ministers Shri Pravesh Verma, Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Kapil Mishra, and other senior leaders were present on the stage.
EV buses in the city has reached 4,000
Shri Nitin Nabin conveyed heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the residents of Delhi on this special day, marking one year since the people of Delhi gave the Bharatiya Janata Party a government with a decisive mandate. On this occasion, special congratulations were extended to Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, who continues to work with dedication and sincerity toward building the Delhi envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. After 27 years of struggle, the people of Delhi, through the mandate received on 8 February, ensured the victory of the lotus and entrusted governance to the Bharatiya Janata Party. As this mandate completes one year, the initiative by Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta’s gift of 500 new electric vehicles (EV) buses to the people of Delhi was described as commendable. Over the past year, an initiative involving 2,000 buses has been undertaken, directly benefiting the residents of Delhi. The fact that the number of EV buses in the city has reached 4,000 within just one year reflects the government’s highly praiseworthy efforts. For a city grappling with pollution, this initiative brings tangible relief to its citizens. Heartfelt congratulations were extended to the Chief Minister, her government, and the entire team for this achievement.
Prioritizes development work and delivers results
Shri Nabin asserted that the mandate given by the people of Delhi reflects an expectation of real solutions, as for a long time, the false promises of the previous government continued to create problems for the public. Earlier, large hoardings were put up, and grand events were organized, but those remained only on paper. In contrast, the BJP government has initiated genuine change by actually deploying electric buses on the ground. The commitment taken by Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta’s commitment to zero tolerance for corruption, digital transparency in administration, and accountability in decision-making is clearly visible over the past one year of governance. Where previous governments remained engaged in confrontations with constitutional institutions and politics limited to rhetoric, the present government has established itself as one that prioritizes development work and delivers results for the people.
Shri Nitin Nabin expressed complete confidence that the Government of India will extend full support to the roadmap prepared by the Delhi government. An appeal was made to Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta to work for Delhi with clear intent and sound policy. When intent is right, there is never a shortage of resources. The focus should remain on delivering better healthcare, better education, better transport, and an overall better quality of life.
