BJP National President and Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda met Prime Minister of Jamaica H.E. Dr. Andrew Michael Holness on 1st October 2024 at New Delhi as part of the ‘KNOW BJP’ initiative.
Shri Nadda welcomed the Jamaica PM Dr. Andrew Michael Holness on his maiden state visit to India. He also extended his heartfelt sympathy to the people of Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Beryl. During the meeting, the leaders reflected on the significant progress in bilateral relations between India and Jamaica over the past decade.
They discussed the potential for further collaboration, particularly in the areas of health, pharma, and Traditional medicine. Shri Nadda also explained organisational structure and activities of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Both leaders agreed to strengthen party-to-party relations by facilitating exchanges between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Jamaica Labour Party, there by fostering a deeper partnership and mutual understanding. Shri Nadda was accompanied by BJP Foreign Affairs department In-charge Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale during the meeting.
H.E. Dr. Andrew Michael Holness is on a state visit to India as Prime Minister of Jamaica at the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, marking the historic first bilateral visit by a Jamaican Prime Minister to India.
