BJP sweeps in Milkipur By-poll in Uttar Pradesh

 Marking a decisive victory over the Samajwadi Party, the Bharatiya Janata Party clinched the Milkipur assembly seat in Ayodhya District of Uttar Pradesh on 08 February 2025. Due to the welfare policies and development works of the double-engine government both at the centre and in the state, the BJP registered an emphatic win.

As per the data released by the election Commission of India, the BJP candidate Shri Chandrabhanu Paswan secured a comfortable victory by over 61,710 votes against SP’s Ajit Prasad, further consolidating the party’s position in the Ayodhya region. The win was so emphatic that the SP candidate lost even in his own booth.
The by-election was necessitated following the resignation of the sitting MLA from Milkipur, Awadhesh Prasad.

PM Modi lauds BJP victory in Milkipur bypoll

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lauded BJP’s victory in the Milkipur by-poll in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh and said, “Aaj desh tushtikaran nahi BJP ki santushtikaran ki policy ko chun raha hai. Today, along with Delhi, the BJP has got victory in Ayodhya’s Milkipur. Every section has voted for the BJP in large numbers.”

 Following the by-poll victory BJP National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda congratulated and said, “The resounding victory of BJP under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji in the by-election of the Milkipur assembly constituency in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh symbolises the unwavering support of the people for the welfare policies and development works of the double-engine government.
