By-poll RESULTS in different states

    In the Assembly by-poll held in eight constituencies spread over 7 States, BJP and Congress have won two seats each. Aam Aadmi Party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Mizo National Front and People’s Democratic Party have won one seat each.

In Odisha, BJP candidate Jay Dholakia has won the Naupada seat by a huge margin of over 83 thousand votes over his nearest Congress rival Ghasi Ram Majhi.

In Jammu & Kashmir, BJP candidate Devyani Rana has won the Nagrota assembly seat. She defeated J&K National Panthers Party (India) candidate Harsh Dev Singh by a margin of 24 thousand 647 votes. PDP candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi has been declared elected from the Budgam seat. He defeated his nearest National Conference rival, Aga Sayed Mahmood Al-Mosavi, by a margin of 4 thousand 478 votes.

In Jharkhand, JMM candidate Somesh Chandra Soren claimed the Ghatsila seat, winning by over 38 thousand votes over his nearest BJP rival Babu Lal Soren.
In Telangana, Congress candidate Naveen Yadav has won Jubilee Hills assembly seat in Hyderabad. He defeated his nearest rival M. Sunitha Gopinath of BRS by a margin 24 thousand 729 votes.

In Rajasthan, Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya has won Anta assembly seat. He defeated BJP candidate Morpal Suman by a margin 15 thousand 612 votes.
In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu has won Taran Taran assembly seat. He defeated Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sukhwinder Kaur by a margin of 12 thousand 91 votes.

In Mizoram, MNF candidate Dr. R. Lalthangliana has won Dampa seat. He defeated his nearest rival and Zoram People’s Movement candidate Vanlalsailova by a margin of 562 votes.
