BJP RALLIES IN DELHI 

Addressing the Jhuggi Basti Pradhan Sammelan held at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on 11 January 2025, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah said the welfare schemes in the capital will not stop if the BJP comes to power; rather, the BJP government will improve them.

Every slum dweller will be provided a house

–Shri Shah also promised that if the BJP wins the election, every slum dweller will be provided a house under the PM Awas Yojana.

–The residents of the capital’s slums will throw away the ‘AAP-Da’ and become liberators of Delhi.

Pathetic conditions

–Shri Shah said that, despite its tall promises of clean water, good education, and a garbage-free-city, the AAP government has forced slum dwellers to live in pathetic conditions, with dirty water, air pollution, broken roads, and garbage.

–Congratulating the Delhi BJP for fighting against the AAP on behalf of the slum dwellers, Shri Shah said, “Our leader spent several nights in the (Jhuggi Jhopri) JJ clusters, and made a list of all your trouble and submitted it to PM and keeping this in mind, we will bring our Sankalp Patra.”

Delhi has become hell

–Shri Shah said the AAP is doing the work of disaster in Delhi, while India has progressed over the last ten years, Delhi has stayed stagnant. Delhi has become hell because of ‘AAP-da’, he added.

–“Lies, betrayal and going back on promises” are the qualities of Mr. Kejriwal, Shri Shah said the AAP leader building a ‘Sheesh Mahal’ instead of building the toilets needed in Delhi’s slum clusters.

–While the Prime Minister gave the poor houses, ration, cheap medicines, loans, and cooking gas, Mr. Kejriwal has done nothing for them in Delhi.

‘BJP will provide honest and accountable governance in Delhi’

Addressing a huge rally in Delhi after inaugurating a working women’s hostel – Sushma Bhavan, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah on 04 January 2025 said former Chief Minister Mr. Kejriwal built a luxurious home ‘Sheesh Mahal’ for himself using people’s money instead of building infrastructure in Delhi.

Kejriwal must answer for his actions

–Shri Shah said the Aam Aadmi Party national convenor will have to give an account of his deeds to the people of Delhi.

–The Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi could not build a system to supply water to the residents, but Kejriwal spent Rs 14 crore on a water plant for his family of four.

–Expensive marbles of over Rs 6 crore, motorised curtains of Rs 6 crore, automatic doors worth Rs 70 lakh, carpets valued at Rs 50 lakh and smart TVs worth Rs 64 lakh were bought for the chief minister’s residence when Kejriwal occupied it.

Kejriwal covering up corruption and shielding corrupt people

–Amit Shah also accused the former Delhi Chief Minister of covering up corruption and shielding corrupt people in his government.

–He said that Kejriwal oversaw a range of corruption scandals, including Delhi’s liquor policy, Mohalla Clinics, CCTV installations, and bus purchases.

–The Home Minister remembered the leadership qualities of former Delhi Chief Minister Sushma Swaraj, and recalled her contribution to various key ministries.

–“People of Delhi are smart, and they will not be deceived. Mr. Kejriwal must answer for his actions,” Shri Shah said. He assured of the BJP’s commitment to provide “honest and accountable” governance in the national capital.
