As India marches ahead realising the dreams of ‘Viksit Bharat’, its last eleven years of a transformative journey inspire the entire nation with a newfound confidence and faith in its destiny. The emergence of India under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is acknowledged across the world as an amazing phenomenon. A nation powered with strong leadership which is decisive and determined meets every challenge with ease and confidence. Whether it was the terror attack or military threat from across the border, the Covid-19 pandemic or war against poverty, the nation has converted every challenge into opportunity. The journey from ‘fragile five’ to ‘top five’ economy with the fastest rate of growth in the world is an achievement which makes every Indian proud. The last eleven years have been the years of service to the people, good governance and dedication to the welfare of the poor. The result can be seen in the emergence of an India which can dream boldly, lead with vision and realise its goals with acumen and determination.
If the achievements of the last eleven years are seen in the context of the pre-2014 situation, they appear incredibly remarkable. The one decade of misrule of Congress-led UPA had robbed the nation of its dreams for a vibrant and developed India while tormenting its spirit with unprecedented corruption, open loot of public money and misrule made worse by policy paralysis in governance. The world started believing that India’s story was finished as it slipped into the category of ‘fragile five’ economies of the world. The weak-kneed policies of the Congress had seen its leadership compromising India’s security while giving shameful concessions to terrorists, separatists and their backers. Every attack on India’s sovereignty, pride and independence further exposed the pathetically feeble leadership of Congress, which believed in the politics of appeasement and vote banks. If the entire story of the Congress leadership is to be summed up, it may be said that the direction in which the nation was set forth in the post-independence era culminated in a negative and demoralising impact on the nation.
In the last eleven years, India is not only witnessing unprecedented economic developments but also, for the first time, feeling civilisationally liberated, united and confident as a nation. The mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ is driving the nation towards the goals of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’. The nation has amassed amazing accomplishments in every sector, making India’s growth story an inspiration for other nations. While the economy is progressing at the fastest rate among the major economies, India is seen as the brightest star amid the otherwise gloomy global scenario. The fast pace of development has lifted more than 25 crore people from multidimensional poverty. A large number of innovative schemes are making farmers, labourers, the deprived, the exploited, the poor, SCs, STs, OBCs, women and youth the growth ambassadors of India. A large section of India are increasingly becoming national assets in India’s journey towards ‘Viksti Bharat’. The sectors like defence, green energy, infrastructure, education and skills which were hitherto neglected have now become the drivers of growth and development. What was deemed weakness earlier has now become strength through the right approach, mindset and unflinching commitment to serve the people.
In the last eleven years, India has risen from its slumber and prepared itself to take its rightful place in the comity of nations. It has excelled in every sector under the charismatic and strong leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, becoming the growth engine of the world. Today, the nation is moving ahead with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, having the guiding principles of ‘Panch Pran’ and ‘Eleven Resolves’ of Amrit Kaal. As the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ is inspired by the notion of the welfare of humanity, India’s rise is the guarantee of global peace, brotherhood and stability.
