Former Rajya Sabha Member Gopal Vyas passes away

Senior BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha Member Shri Gopal Vyas passed away on 07 November 2024. Shri Gopal Vyas is a name that is associated not only with Chhatisgarh but every corner of the country.

Shri Gopal Vyas was born on 15th February 1932 in the house of Shri Poonamchand Vyas and Smt. Jethabhai Vyas. From childhood, Shri Vyas had a great sense of devotion towards the nation, and he was always ready to serve the people. His well-wishers affectionately call him ‘Sriru Bhaiya’. He was educated at Jabalpur Engineering College.

For a while, Shri Gopal Vyas was unwell and passed away on 07 November.
He carried out his duties as Prant Pracharak, Kshetra Pracharak of the RSS, worked with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and BJP. He represented Chhattisgarh in the Rajya Sabha.

Shri Gopal Vyas had been Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Chhattisgarh state from 3rd April 2006 to 2nd April 2012.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed deep condolences on the demise of Shreegopal Vyas.
