Bjp National President addresses ‘Mahila Diwas’ Karyakram in New Delhi

BJP National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed the International Women’s Day program in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on 08 March 2025. In his address, Shri Nadda emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP has focused on the welfare and empowerment of women in the country. During the program, BJP National Vice President and Delhi Incharge Shri Baijayant Panda, Delhi CM Smt. Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, BJP Mahila Morcha National President Smt. Vanathi Srinivasan and other leaders were present on the stage.

BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of International Women’s Day. He thanked the women of Delhi for their immense contribution in bringing the BJP to power. This victory would not have been possible without their support and blessings. Whether it was the Bharatiya Jana Sangh or the BJP today, the commitment to empowering women has always been strong.

Women’s progress drives global prosperity

Shri Nadda said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s focus on women-led development, stating that women’s progress drives global prosperity. Both Jana Sangh and BJP have always prioritised women’s empowerment. Building an ‘Atmanirbhar’ and ‘Viksit’ Bharat is not possible without instilling confidence in women.

Nari Shakti Vandan Act

BJP National President stated that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, a task that the UPA and other parties were unable to accomplish in three decades, was completed by Shri Narendra Modi in just three days. The BJP has the highest number of women in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and this law will ensure that 33% of Lok Sabha members are women in the future.

Delhi govt sanctions 5,100 cr for
a year to give 2,500 monthly aid

In good news for the women of Delhi, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta-led Cabinet on 8 March 2025 approved the ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojana’ to provide a monthly honorarium of Rs. 2,500 to women.

Addressing the media Smt. Rekha Gupta said on the Women’s Day, the cabinet has approved ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojana’. “We conducted a cabinet meeting and have approved the Yojana- the promise we made during the time of elections to provide Rs. 2,500 to women. We have made a provision of Rs. 5,100 crores in the Delhi budget for the implementation of the scheme,” she said.

Smt. Gupta added that the government has formed the committee, a portal will be launched and the registration for the scheme will begin soon, she said.
