Five months after winning the Haryana Assembly polls for a third time, the ruling BJP on 12 March 2025 registered a landslide victory in the civic body polls by winning the mayoral elections in nine out of 10 municipal corporations and an independent candidate won in Manesar.
The principal Opposition Congress after its dismal performance in the Assembly elections failed to register any victory in the state.
BJP candidates registered emphatic wins in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak, Panipat, Sonipat and Yamunanagar by defeating their nearest Congress rivals. The polls for the nine municipal corporations were held on 02 March, while the voting for Panipat took place on 9 March.

BJP National President congratulates for massive victory in Haryana
