PM meetS Indian para-athletes
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met the Indian para-athletes at his residence in New Delhi on 13 September, 2024 following their record-breaking performance in the Paralympic Games in Paris.
The Indian Paralympic contingent returned home after shining bright in the ‘City of Light’, winning a total of 29 medals including 7 gold. India thus surpassed their previous highest Paralympic medal haul achieved in the Tokyo Games by 10 medals.
In a video posted on his official X account on Friday, PM Shri Modi was seen interacting with the likes of Sumit Antil, Sheetal Devi, Yogesh Kathuniya, Navdeep Singh among others.
“India’s Paralympic champions have set a new benchmark with the highest-ever medal count. It was a delight to interact with them,” read the caption of the post.
