Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Nitin Nabin addressed a massive public rally in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal on Monday and called for the removal of the corrupt Trinamool Congress government and the formation of a BJP government with a decisive majority. Following the rally, the BJP National President also held grand roadshows in Egra and Keshiary. During the events, District President of Mahisadal Assembly constituency Shri Malay Sinha, District In-charge Shri Anupam Mallick, Mahisadal candidate Shri Subhash Chandra Panja, Egra candidate Shri Dibendu Adhikari, Keshiary candidate Shri Bhadra Hembrem, along with other party office bearers and leaders, were present on the stage.
Shri Nitin Nabin stated that Mamata Banerjee had formed the government in the name of Maa, Maati and Manush, however today neither the mother is safe, nor the soil is safe and nor the people are safe. In West Bengal, from Sandeshkhali to RG Kar Medical College, if anyone has tormented and persecuted the mothers, it is the Trinamool Congress government that has done so. Despite having a woman Chief Minister, if the mothers and sisters of West Bengal are not safe, then Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should be removed from the chair, and the time has now arrived. Everyone also remembers the 2023 incident of Mahishadal, when Trinamool Congress politically harassed and troubled the people there at the Maa Sheetla Mandir. The people and family members there were prevented from receiving prasad, and April 23rd and April 29th are the days to punish such opponents of Sanatan Dharma.
Shri Nabin asserted that in December 2025, the idols of Maa Saraswati and Maa Kali were desecrated and broken in the middle of the night, causing damage to the livelihoods of the sculptors. In West Bengal, the mother is not safe, and TMC has worked to dishonour the soil of this land by settling Bangladeshi infiltrators on it. Along with this, instead of providing employment to the people here, they have been forced to migrate. Mamata Banerjee came to power through the Nandigram movement, however she learnt nothing from Nandigram. The youth here received neither employment nor opportunities, and the youth are being compelled to migrate. When the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji brought the Nari Shakti Adhiniyam to provide rights to women across the entire country and made efforts to give women their rightful share and participation, the Members of Parliament of TMC opposed that reservation. Today, he appealed to the women’s power that the time has come to punish such governments that snatch away the rights of women here and provide them an unsafe environment. Had it been a matter of providing Muslim reservation, Mamata Banerjee’s Members of Parliament would have walked a hundred steps to the Supreme Court and Parliament and advocated for Muslim reservation, however when it came to providing reservation to women, they opposed it.
BJP National President noted that in 2026, the overall atmosphere in West Bengal has undergone a significant change. The state has long been under the rule of Communist parties, the Congress, and now the Trinamool Congress, which has impacted its development. The time has come to free the state from this phase and to form a “double-engine” government of the BJP on 4 May. This is the time to empower the people of the state. The party’s manifesto includes various schemes related to unemployment allowance and dignity for women, youth, and farmers. Reiterating the commitment from this land, he said that if a government is formed under the leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, efforts will be made to bring happiness to every citizen of the state. Strict action will be taken against illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators residing in the state, and a process will be ensured for their identification and deportation.
Shri Nitin Nabin mentioned that in West Bengal, youth are being subjected to extortion through syndicates, and a similar system is being attempted in the process of providing jobs, which will be ended. Once a BJP government is formed, employment will be provided strictly on the basis of merit, not through syndicates or recommendations. A “bhaipo culture” is being promoted to advance a particular family, which reflects commission-based practices and corruption. The time has come to end such a system of governance. Appealing to the people, he urged voters to ensure the victory of the BJP across the state on 4 May and to form a “double-engine” government under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
