Hon’ble Bharatiya Janata Party’s National President Shri Nitin Nabin paid floral tributes and fondly remembered the architect of the Constitution, Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar, on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Office in New Delhi on Tuesday. Shri Nitin Nabin stated that the thoughts and ideals of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji continue to serve as a guiding light in the direction of nation building even today, and the central government under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is working dedicatedly to translate his ideals into reality on the ground. The Hon’ble National President stated that by giving shape and substance to the principles of social justice, women’s empowerment and Antyodaya, the government remains firmly committed to ensuring that the benefits of development schemes reach the last person in society.
Shri Nabin stated that the life of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji was rooted in his vision of reforming society, educating it and ensuring the participation of every section within it. Even today, the manner in which Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is working towards the reconstruction and rejuvenation of India, the relevance of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji’s ideals continues to remain profoundly significant. The manner in which Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji advocated for the participation of all in the Constitution, championed the cause of empowering women with their rightful rights and worked tirelessly to amplify the voice of every section of society, continues to inspire and invigorate every segment of society even today. The various interpretations that are currently being presented regarding the framing of the Constitution serve only one purpose: that of determining how the last person in society can be included in the schemes of development. Our founding ideologue Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya had also envisioned the concept of Antyodaya for extending the benefits of development schemes to the last person in the line. The ideals and thoughts that shaped the lives of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya are being fulfilled and honoured by the government today.
Hon’ble National President of BJP recalled that there was a time in this country when no one beyond the Nehru-Gandhi family was accorded any recognition or honour, and even after sixty years of independence, Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, was not given the respect he rightfully deserved. It was only when the BJP-supported United Front government was formed that Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji was conferred the Bharat Ratna for the very first time, whereas prior to that, the Nehru-Gandhi family had conferred the Bharat Ratna upon themselves, and today those very same people go around carrying copies of the Constitution. Had they imbibed even a fraction of his ideals and worked accordingly for sixty years, they would not have needed to carry copies of the Constitution today. The manner in which Pandit Nehru continuously humiliated and insulted Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar in 1952 and 1954 is something this nation will never forget. Instead of being accorded the honour and respect that the architect of the Constitution deserved from the Gandhi-Nehru family, he was subjected to humiliation through repeated attempts to defeat him in elections.
Shri Nabin stated that today, regarding the SIR issue over which Rahul Gandhi and the entire opposition are restless, it was that same Congress which, during that era, had attempted to defeat Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar by wrongfully manipulating the voters’ list in his constituency. After that era, the revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had a portrait of Baba Saheb installed in Parliament, carried forward his ideas by advancing the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, and this campaign has played a very significant role in building an educated society today. Now, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, on one hand, established his thoughts and ideals by creating the Panchteertha, and on the other hand, also gave this answer to the opposition that the personality who should have been given respect and venerated was instead insulted, but with the blessings of the people of India, he has been carrying forward his honor. It was Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji who developed the Panchteethas associated with Baba Saheb, initiated the observance of Constitution Day, and dedicated the Ambedkar International Centre to the nation.
Hon’ble National President of BJP said that today, through the Panchteertha, not only within the country but also abroad encompassing those places where Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji spent a considerable amount of time, his followers and the entire nation of India have been filled with immense pride and honour. The thoughts that Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji enshrined in the Constitution regarding the empowerment of women, their education and their participation in society are being carried forward, and in the times to come, the government of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is going to fulfil yet another one of his cherished dreams. The ‘Nari Vandan Adhiniyam’, which will be introduced in a special session on April 16th, 17th and 18th, will fulfil that very dream of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji in which he had spoken of the participation and empowerment of women. On this day, all of us offer our heartfelt floral tributes to Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar ji and resolve that the entire BJP family will move forward with his ideals and the thoughts of our founding ideologue Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya, and will ensure that the benefits of development schemes reach the last person in society.
