Hon’ble BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin addressed a massive public rally in Aranthangi, Tamil Nadu on Monday and appealed to the people to remove the corrupt DMK government from the state and form the NDA government with an overwhelming majority. Subsequently, Shri Nabin conducted a grand road show from Vellaai Muniyan Kovil Thidal to Gandarvakottai Bus Stand in Gandarvakottai. During the road show, an atmosphere of tremendous enthusiasm and energy was witnessed among the BJP and NDA Karyakartas. During the programme, State BJP Mahila Morcha President and BJP candidate from Aranthangi Smt. Kavitha Srikanth along with other office bearers and leaders of BJP and NDA were present on the stage.
Shri Nabin stated that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji holds a special place in his heart for the people of Tamil Nadu and his one fundamental mantra is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’ – Together for all, Development for all, Trust of all and Efforts of all. Through this very fundamental mantra, the Hon’ble Prime Minister is working to bring joy to the faces of people across every section of society, every region and every area with development and trust. Today, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, benefits are being extended to the poor through schemes such as housing for the underprivileged and the Kisan Samman Yojana for farmers. Through the PM Kisan Yojana, approximately ₹12,000 crores have been provided to the farmers of Tamil Nadu as relief and assistance, and the central government has undertaken the construction of housing for more than 13 lakh underprivileged individuals. It is deeply unfortunate that the DMK government of Tamil Nadu is unable to build shelter for the poor, yet it does not hesitate to send funds for the construction of palatial residences for Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.
National President of BJP said that sufficient funds were made available by the central government to provide tap water to 87 percent of households under the Jal Jeevan Mission, however the state government misappropriated the funds that were allocated for delivering clean drinking water to every household, due to which even today poor families are unable to access clean tap water. Across the entire country, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has made available free financial assistance of up to ₹5 lakh for the treatment of the poor through the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, and crores of families are benefiting from this scheme. The NDA government will ensure that the people of Tamil Nadu also receive the full benefits of this scheme.
Shri Nabin stated that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has recently bestowed upon the people of Tamil Nadu development schemes worth approximately ₹11,000 crores in Madurai and Trichy. Modi government has also gifted the people of Tamil Nadu projects worth approximately ₹35,000 crores in the railway sector and a scheme worth ₹8,000 crores for Chennai Metro Phase-2. Through the PM Ujjwala Yojana, LPG connections have been provided to mothers and sisters, benefiting 41 lakh women in Tamil Nadu. While on one hand, during the UPA government, when Congress and DMK were in power in Delhi, a mere ₹880 crores per year were allocated for railways, on the other hand, during the last 10 years under the NDA government, the railway budget received by Tamil Nadu has been approximately ₹6,626 crores, which is eight times more than that of the previous government.
Shri Nitin Nabin said that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has also given due attention to rural roads. During the previous tenure of Rahul Gandhi and the DMK government, merely 8,531 kilometres of rural roads were constructed, whereas in the last 10 years, approximately 15,000 kilometres of rural roads have been built. In the form of tax devolution, which is the rightful share of every state government, more than ₹3 lakh crores have been provided over the last 10 years for the development of the people of Tamil Nadu. It would have been gratifying had this amount reached the accounts of the people of Tamil Nadu, however it found its way into the coffers of the DMK government and was utilised to fill their own treasury. In the times to come, every single rupee will be accounted for from the DMK government. Across the entire country, the states where NDA governments are in power are competing in development, striving to achieve greater progress and advancement in their respective states. It is deeply unfortunate that the government of Tamil Nadu is not advancing in development but is instead moving towards becoming number one in corruption. If there is any government in the entire country that is most corrupt, it is the DMK government, which aspires to be number one in corruption rather than in development.
National President of BJP stated that the benefits of government schemes are not reaching the poor of Tamil Nadu, while in the last five years the DMK government has taken on a debt of ₹10 lakh crores. The ₹3 lakh crores received from Delhi is in addition to this. On one hand where corruption has thrived, the incidents of murders have also witnessed a sharp rise. Approximately more than 8,000 murders have taken place during the tenure of the DMK government. In the toxic liquor tragedy in Tamil Nadu, 68 people lost their lives, yet the Chief Minister could not find time to meet the bereaved families. The people of Tamil Nadu are deeply distressed not only by corruption but also by the rising incidents of murders. What is even more alarming is that the state government has deliberately insulted the traditions and beliefs of Sanatan Dharma. The manner in which the Deepam tradition at Thiruparankundram was sought to be banned was a grave insult to crores of Sanatan followers, and the time has come to respond to this insult, for which accountability will be fixed from the Chief Minister of the state and his son. Shri Nitin Nabin urged the people of Tamil Nadu to punish Udhayanidhi who compared the followers of Sanatan Dharma and their religion to diseases like dengue and malaria. DMK Member of Parliament A. Raja insulted the gods and goddesses, and one of their ministers has also disrespected the revered deity, Bhagwan Vishnu.
Shri Nabin asserted that the tendency to treat the Chief Minister’s chair of Tamil Nadu as a family fiefdom, wherein the plan is to transfer power from Karunanidhi to Stalin and subsequently to his son, will be brought to an end. Upon the formation of the NDA government, this corrupt family will be removed from power and every single rupee will be accounted for from them. The DMK has insulted the history of Tamil Nadu, disrespected Bhagwan Murugan as well as the Deepam tradition, and has also toyed with the present and future of Tamil Nadu. These people are engaged in addicting the younger generation to drugs and substance abuse. DMK stands for D as Drohum (Betrayal), M as Mosadi (Fraud) and K as Kolai (Loot). DMK means Betrayal, Fraud and Loot, and the people of Tamil Nadu will uproot and overthrow such a DMK. These people had promised approximately 35 to 45 lakh jobs and had also made promises regarding cooking gas, none of which were fulfilled, and they have been ensnaring the youth in the trap of unemployment by poisoning them with drugs. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the NDA along with AIADMK, PMK and all allied parties will form the government in Tamil Nadu and will bring prosperity and happiness to the faces of the poor people here by extending the benefits of pure drinking water to every household, along with schemes such as Ayushman Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Shri Nitin Nabin said that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has accorded respect and pride to Tamil culture across the entire world. Through the Kashi Tamil Sangam, the ancient historical bond between Kashi and Tamil has been re-established across the country and the honour of the Tamil language has been further elevated. The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, by getting the great literary work Thirukkural translated into 13 different languages, has established and accorded immense honour to Tamil society and Tamil culture on a very grand scale. Not only in India, but Tamil education is also being imparted in Fiji, and Tamil is also being taught at Banaras Hindu University. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is working to re-establish the historical connections that Tamil has shared with various provinces of the country as well as with foreign nations throughout our rich history.Sonnet 4.6
National President of BJP stated that he recently received a letter from America, in which it was conveyed that more than 20 lakh Tamil families reside there. Those families wrote that they would be delighted if a personality like Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji were to form such a government for the people of Tamil Nadu that would work for their upliftment and development. Shri Nitin Nabin extended heartfelt gratitude to those 20 lakh families from the soil of India and assured them that keeping in mind the Tamil community residing across America, the welfare and concerns of every single household in Tamil Nadu will be duly attended to. The people of Tamil Nadu ought to extend their blessings to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, because the great Sengol, which has been a symbol of governance and justice for Tamil Nadu and is regarded as an honour to Tamil historical tradition, was also installed in the new Parliament building by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. This stands as a symbol of honour and pride for lakhs of Tamil families, the Tamil community and Tamil culture, having been enshrined in our new Parliament building.
Shri Nabin said that in order to empower women, make them self-reliant, provide them a secure life and enable them to move forward safely, with dignity and honour, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is bringing a bill in Parliament on the 16th, 17th and 18th to implement the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’. The people of DMK are incapable of respecting women, as they do not possess the very sentiment of respecting anyone. If the blessings of the people are received, the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam pertaining to women’s rights will be passed on the 16th, 17th and 18th and a new chapter will be written in the honour and dignity of women. Shri Nitin Nabin appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to uproot and overthrow the corrupt DMK and the one family government, and to form a double engine government under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, which will move forward on the path of development and progress with their trust and work dedicatedly for their advancement. The people of Tamil Nadu will re-establish the NDA government on April 23rd and will decisively uproot and overthrow the DMK government.
