Hon’ble Union Minister of Home and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah today addressed massive poll rallies at Jalpaiguri, Alipurdwar and Coochbehar in West Bengal. Shri Shah also issued a video message for the people of Darjeeling as he had to relay his speech virtually.
Shri Shah asked people to find out the lotus symbol on the EVM and BJP will find out the TMC goons in return. The TMC goons collect cut money from transporters and traders in Jalpaiguri which only the BJP can end.
They gobbled up Rs.100 crore meant for flood relief in North Bengal. You just form a BJP government and we will straighten these goons by hanging them upside down.
The tea industry is suffering because of TMC rule. They neither increase the wages of the tea garden laborers nor do they give them land holding. In just two-and-half-years after the BJP government is formed we will increase their wage up to Rs.500 and give them lands. There PF money will also be returned and modern schools will be built in tea gardens. They will receive the Rs.3,000 Modi Ji has sent for every laborer. We will curb love jihad and land jihad. We will pay aspirants of competitive exams Rs.15,000. For Modi Ji all of you are family members but for Mamata only her nephew is her family member.
We will develop the Jalpesh temple with a fund of Rs.50 crore. We will include the Rajbanshi language in the eighth schedule of the constitution. Jalpaiguri was known for tea, timber and tourism, but Mamata Banerjee made it known for tears.

We will build AIIMS in North Bengal. We will build National Highway from Darjeeling to Sunderban, a 500 bed cancer hospital dedicated to North Bengal, one IIT, one IIM, one sports university and one tribal university for the youths. We will turn Darjeeling into an adventure tourism centre. No matter how much Mamata Banerjee cries we will weed out infiltrators one by one.
BJP government will build 4 new industrial cities. We will introduce UCC and end the social malady of polygamy, and pay state government employees as per seventh pay commission and DA. In Bengal women are not safe. In Sandeshkhali a TMC goon who was also an infiltrator continued raping women. Durgapur Medical College, RG Kar, Kolkata Law College, witnessed goriest incidents of atrocities on women but Mamata does not care. She rather says that women should not venture out after 7 PM. I want to tell the women that after 5th of May venture out even at 12 midnight, no one will be able to harm you all. We will set up Narayani sena once the BJP government is formed.
Today we have governments in Tripura, Assam and Bihar. You all form a BJP government here we will seal the entire border.
Mamata does not give land to build fence. Once our government is formed, we will handover land for the purpose in just 45 days. The people who have looted Bengal’s coffers will be punished. In Toofanganj we will set up museum to preserve the regions glorious heritage including that of king Nilambar. We will set up a special institute for local drama and folk music and revive the jute mills with latest machineries.
We will repair the banks of Raidak river and also ensure drinking water for the people. Mamata Banerjee has always harbored a step motherly attitude for North Bengal. She earmarked Rs.5713 crore for Muslims and merely Rs.1,200 crore for North Bengal. But you all need not worry because we will prioritize your development.
Issuing a video message for the people of Darjeeling Shri Shah said that he was about to meet the people of Darjeeling but for adverse weather the helicopter gauged possible challenges in landing. However, he said that he would be holding a rally at Sukna on the 21st of April where he would meet the people of Darjeeling. He said that it is certain that BJP is going to form a government in West Bengal. As soon as that happens infiltration, hooliganism and syndicate will come to an end and along with that the police raaj that is set up with the practice of lodging fake cases against thousands of Gorkhas will also come to an end. Apart from that the political issues faced by the Gorkhas too will be certainly resolved.
As the Union Minister of Home, I made several attempts to resolve the problem. In the last one and half years I called for three meetings. But neither Mamata Didi nor her representative attended the meetings. Finally, we engaged an interlocutor to talk to you all. The interlocutor tried to talk to Mamata Banerjee and her government. But they did not give time to the interlocutor. She does not want the people living in the hills of Darjeeling who are patriots to the core receive justice and their rights. But you all need not worry because once the BJP government is formed in West Bengal, it will prioritize the resolution of the problems faced by the Gorkhas in Darjeeling. I also want to make an announcement that the cases that have been filed against the Gorkha brothers and sisters by the present government will be withdrawn once the BJP government is formed and justice will be delivered to everyone. The tradition of suppressing the activists by filing cases against them which was started by the communists and carried forward by Mamata Banerjee will also be ended by BJP. When I will visit you all on the 21st of April, I will make announcement of the roadmap of Darjeeling’s development and many other announcements for the Gorkha brothers and sisters. I appeal to you all to make our three candidates Shri Noman Rai, Shri Sonam Lama and Shri Bharat Kumar Chetry winners with landslide votes.
