The Ex National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Minister, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, addressed at the felicitation ceremony for the newly elected BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji at the BJP’s central office in New Delhi. Congratulating Shri Nitin Nabin and extending his best wishes on assuming charge as National President, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that this moment is not only one of organisational change, but also the beginning of the next phase of the BJP’s ideological legacy, resilient tradition, and continuous journey of victory. Shri Nadda expressed confidence that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and under the presidency of Shri Nitin Nabin, who is full of organizational experience, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s journey of development, good governance and nation-building will gain even more momentum across the country. During the programme, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, BJP National President Shri Nitin Nabin, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari and other leaders were present on the stage.
Shri Nadda asserted that today is a very historic day, as the young, energetic and talented National President Shri Nitin Nabin has assumed charge as the National President of the world’s largest party, Bharatiya Janata Party. This is the same great party which, under the leadership of Shri Syama Prasad Mookerjee, had the good fortune to move forward with an ideological background from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, got the opportunity to develop across the country through the hard work of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and carrying forward that tradition, great leaders like revered Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shri Advani, Shri Sundar Singh Bhandari and Shri Kushabhau Thakre continuously took the party forward. Shri Nitin Nabin has taken responsibility as the 12th National President of such a great party, and for this Shri Nadda extended many congratulations and best wishes.
Union Minister remarked that everyone knows that Shri Nitin Nabin is a grassroot Karyakarta, is matured on an ideological foundation, and at a very young age has already been a five-time MLA and is currently also an MLA. Shri Nabin has served several times as a minister in the Bihar government. As the General Secretary of the National Yuva Morcha, Shri Nabin got the opportunity to travel across the country, through which he understood the nation deeply. Served as in-charge of Sikkim and Chhattisgarh, making a very significant contribution in forming the government. As such, he has assumed charge as a young, energetic and talented President, for which Shri Nadda extended heartfelt congratulations. With the confidence that he has organisational experience along with administrative experience, Shri Nitin Nabin will take this party forward at a rapid pace under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Shri Nadda on this day thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, all members of the Parliamentary Board, crores of Karykartas, and all state presidents from the bottom of his heart. This gratitude is because, with the strength with which everyone worked with him in the past years to run the party, the support they gave him, and the cooperation they provided in implementing the government and party programmes at the grassroots level, Outgoing National President is thankful to all. Shri Nadda especially thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and stated that at every moment and on every occasion, while handling the finer details of small and big matters, the opportunity and strength that he was given to provide vision and work for the party made this work possible. Despite being the country’s Prime Servant and extremely busy, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji paid attention to the small details of the party and contributed fully to taking it forward, for which Shri Nadda thanked him specially. Since 2014, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the victory journey and victory chariot of BJP has been continuously moving forward without stopping. The main reason for this is that the country’s voters, villages, the poor, the deprived, the afflicted, the exploited and all sections of Dalit society have understood that if the country is progressing and progressing safely, then it is progressing only under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Hon’ble Union Minister mentioned that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the results did not meet the level of expectations the party had, and these outcomes surprised not only the party but also the public sentiment of the nation. A sense of pain and disappointment emerged in the minds of the voters, and it became evident that the people of the country resolved that in every election to come, they would give their full blessings to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and work towards strengthening the party across the nation. After the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the opposition’s confidence was high during the Haryana elections, and even before the results, Congress had begun preparing to distribute sweets not realising that the voters of the country, and of Haryana in particular, had decided that the small lapses caused by overconfidence would be repaid with interest. The voters demonstrated this decisively in the Haryana elections. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, a record victory was achieved in Maharashtra, and victory celebrations were held across the country. During these celebrations, party Karyakartas from Delhi would repeatedly participate, but Delhi itself could not celebrate. However, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, BJP won in Delhi after 27 years and BJP government was formed. In the same manner, in Bihar, the party not only won the elections but registered victory with the highest strike rate. Recently, municipal corporation elections were held in Maharashtra, in which the Bharatiya Janata Party and the NDA won 25 out of 29 municipal corporations. In the BMC elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party. BJP also won the panchayat elections in Goa. In Thiruvananthapuram, in Kerala, BJP won for the first time since Independence and won a Lok Sabha seat.
Shri Nadda asserted that the victory march which began after 2014 under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is continuing to move forward with full strength, empowered by the blessings of the nation’s voters, and will now progress further under the leadership of Shri Nitin Nabin. The NDA has government in 20 states, while the Bharatiya Janata Party has its own government in 13 states. In Gujarat, the BJP has been in power for six consecutive terms. In Haryana and Goa, the party has formed the government for the second and third terms respectively. BJP has returned to power for a second time in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Assam. With this same confidence, Shri Nadda stated that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the presidency of Shri Nitin Nabin, BJP will emerge victorious in West Bengal as well. The party will form government in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, return to power once again in Assam, and achieve strong results in Kerala. With this belief and confidence, the party continues to move forward.
BJP Ex National President stated that over the past few years, every effort was made to discharge the responsibilities entrusted by the party to the best of one’s ability, with the support and cooperation of all. During the course of fulfilling these duties, if any words may have caused unintended hurt to anyone at any time, sincere apologies were expressed for the same. Shri Nadda expressed heartfelt gratitude to crores of Karyakartas who have worked tirelessly day and night for the party, stating that it was because of their collective efforts that the organisation was able to move forward successfully. Shri Nitin Nabin will, with full strength and dedication, leave no stone unturned in taking the world’s largest and this great party forward. Together, all Karyakartas will support Shri Nabin and take the BJP to new heights, and ensure that BJP will win even in those states where it is yet to win.
