Ramchandra Rai

As a District Convenor in Jana Sangh, Shri Ramchandra Rai discharged his responsibilities quite well. He studied in Prayagraj with Honorable Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi ji and was associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since childhood. He went on to become the State Executive of the RSS, and played a prime role in the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh. He was the Sangh chalak of district Gopalganj. He was also associated with Seva Bharti. In the year 1980, he contested the MLA elections from Mirganj Vidhan Sabha under BJP. He took active part in the work of the RSS in Odisha and Assam. During the Emergency, he was imprisoned for 18 months in Muzaffarpur Central Jail under MISA. Shri Rai was also actively involved in Satyagraha. He was very devoted to the organization and the Sangh till the last moment of his life.
