Amid sloganeering and disruptions by the Congress and Opposition leaders, BJP National President and Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha Shri JP Nadda raised the grave issue of anti-India links of Congress with George Soros in the Parliament on 10 December 2024 and severely criticised the Congress party for its links with his organizations. Shri Nadda sought to know about the ‘relationship between George Soros and the Congress party’. He said the Congress has ties with organisations financed by Mr. Soros, and the Gandhis are in intimacy with groups like OCCRP (the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project) to harm India’s economy. He said Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s connections with FDL-AP, which backed the idea of Kashmir as an ‘independent nation’ has also been getting funds from the George Soros Foundation.
BJP National President Shri JP Nadda said, “Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project is one of the organizations that is being tried to destabilize the government. We all know that the opposition leaders have raised those issues in the House which were released by OCCRP. The Opposition leaders trying to bring instability in the country. I want to ask what is the relationship between George Soros and Congress”?
Congress is playing with national security
Referring to Soros and his links to the opposition party which is trying to destabilise India, Shri Nadda charged the Congress of acting as a tool of foreign forces. Further elaborating, he said Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is the co-president of the Forum of the Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific Foundation which is financed by the Soros Foundation. “This link is a matter of concern…”. “This maligns India’s image and raises concern about national security. The people are concerned… Congress is playing with national security. Therefore, we want a discussion, he said.”
OCCRP, bent on destabilising international relations
Shri Nadda said, “There is one international organisation, Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project [OCCRP], which is bent on destabilising international relations. Whatever was reported by OCCRP, Lok Sabha’s Opposition leader has brought up in Parliament and proven that he has become the tool of external forces and is trying to destabilise the country. They are trying to bring instability in the country.”
Dangerous to the internal and external security of the country
Shri JP Nadda added Congress party’s senior leader is a co-chairperson of ‘Forum of Democratic Leaders of Asia Pacific’. This organisation thinks Jammu and Kashmir is a separate entity. The Congress is in collaboration with such organisations which bring instability to the country. This is dangerous to the internal and external security of the country. The funding for this sort of activity is being done by Geroge Soros. I want to know what is the relationship between the Congress party and George Soros?”.
He said we are answerable to the common man. They are asking us in this situation if we are standing up for the country. I want to promise them that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the NDA government is firmly committed to protecting India’s interests. Those still dreaming of bringing change in India based on foreign influence will not succeed.
Attempting to influence “India’s democratic process”
Earlier, Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju also expressed concerns over the links between Sonia Gandhi and businessman George Soros. He said George Soros, the founder of the Open Society Foundation, has been an outspoken critic of PM Shri Narendra Modi and attempted to influence “India’s democratic process”.
Did Soros pay for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra?
On 06 December, BJP MP Shri Nishikant Dubey said, “Congress is hand in glove with George Soros, did Soros pay for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra or not? Soros paid for 1000 Indian children to study abroad, and how many of them are children of Congress leaders?”
CAN CONGRESS ANSWER?
• Why is it that whenever a Parliament session is about to start, an issue from abroad emerges, and the Congress begins disrupting the session over that issue? Is this just a coincidence or a systematic anti-India experiment?
• Sonia Gandhi is the co-chairperson of the Forum of Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP), which has been a platform for anti-India and pro-Pakistan statements. It is also funded by the architect of the anti-India agenda, George Soros.
• BJP wants to directly ask Congress and the opposition about the relationship between the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, and the FDL-AP. Why did Sonia Gandhi accept the post of co-president in this organization?
• Given the anti-India and pro-Pakistan discussions on the FDL-AP platform regarding Jammu and Kashmir, BJP is questioning whether Sonia Gandhi, as co-chairperson, agrees with these views.
• BJP firmly believes that George Soros and the organizations connected to him are attempting to create instability in India and this conspiracy is equivalent to treason.
• BJP is demanding that if Congress has any relationship with such individuals and groups, Congress should clarify whether its top leadership aligns with those deemed traitors.
• Congress members are sitting as officials with the traitorous forces. The BJP is questioning the nature of Congress’ relationship with individuals like George Soros, who has openly expressed desires to create instability in India and oust the Modi government
• It is disheartening that Congress is seen supporting the mysterious questions being raised about the country from abroad. Supporting them is like joining hands with anti-national forces.
• Congress has a history of aligning with foreign powers. This is the same Congress that accepted oil coupons and received money from Saddam Hussein, as revealed in the 2005 Volcker Report.
• This allegation against the Congress party is not just from the Bharatiya Janata Party. The former Foreign Minister of the Congress party himself acknowledged foreign interference in a letter he wrote to Sonia Gandhi, as mentioned in his book.
• The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation also received funding from George Soros’s organization, and this has already been reported in the media.

Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters in New Delhi on 09 December 2024 on this issue, BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi strongly criticized the opposition Congress for its alleged nexus with international organizations and for creating obstacles in the functioning of the Indian Parliament.
He said it was previously revealed that whenever a Parliament session starts, some foreign reports or incidents occur, disrupting the Parliament proceedings.
For example, a report on farmers was released on February 3, 2021, coinciding with the Parliament session that began on January 29, 2021.
The Pegasus report was released on July 18, 2021, coinciding with the Monsoon session of Parliament.
The Hindenburg report was published on January 24, 2023, just before the Budget session began on January 30, 2023.
On January 17, 2023, the BBC released a documentary, coinciding with the Parliament session that started on January 30, 2023.
A Manipur video surfaced on July 19, 2023, just as the Parliament session was about to begin on July 20, 2023.
On May 10, 2024, a vaccine report was released during the peak of the Indian elections.
A report on the SEBI Chairperson was released in August 2024, during an ongoing Parliament session. Most recently, on November 20, 2024, a report was published in the USA, just days before the Parliament session began on November 25, 2024.
Dr. Trivedi asked “Is this just a coincidence or a systematic anti-India experiment?” He said the BJP wants to clearly ask the opposition and the Congress and expect an answer from them –

George Soros and Rahul Gandhi
are “two bodies and one soul”
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, on 05 December 2024, BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra cited an article published in the French newspaper ‘Mediapart’, which revealed a triangle conspiring against India involving American billionaire George Soros, the news portal OCCRP and Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.
–On July 1, 2021, OCCRP published an article aimed at undermining the Indian vaccine Covaxin and on July 2, Congress held a press conference targeting the government and Covaxin. OCCRP directs and Rahul Gandhi follows.
–OCCRP has repeatedly targeted India’s top industrialists with unfounded reports, aiming to disrupt the economy, crash stock markets, and undermine investor confidence. The goal was to stir public discontent and push for a regime change.
