On the occasion of esteemed Prime Minister and global leader, Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda inaugurated a ‘Seva Pakhwada’ event at the party’s central office, on 17 September, 2024. The event featured a blood donation camp and an exhibition highlighting the life of the Prime Minister. During the event, BJP National General Secretaries Shri Arun Singh and Shri Dushyant Gautam, BJP National Secretary Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, BJP National Media Head and MP Shri Anil Baluni and other party Karyakartas were present. BJP observes the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as ‘Seva Diwas’. From his birthday until Gandhi Jayanti, BJP Karyakartas celebrate a ‘Seva Pakhwada’. During this period, they participate in activities such as blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, service programs in basti areas and various other service-oriented projects across the country.

Completion of 100 days of PM Modi’s third term
Shri Nadda stated that today marks a special day as it is both Vishwakarma Puja and the completion of 100 days of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s third term.
During the ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ the BJP is organizing various service-oriented campaigns like blood donation, tree plantation, cleaning and cleanliness drives. Under Modi 3.0, significant progress has been made swiftly. Over the next four to five days, ministers will highlight and communicate the achievements of various respective ministries from the past 100 days to the public. The BJP will ensure that the work done in Modi 3.0 under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership is effectively conveyed to the people.
Construction of 3 crore houses for the poor
BJP National President Shri Nadda stated that within the first 100 days of the Modi government 3.0, approval has been granted to construct 3 crore houses for the poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Along with this approval, the work on building Pacca Ghar has already commenced. The 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi has also been disbursed. Under this scheme, more than Rs. 2 lakh crore has been deposited into farmers’ accounts so far. Within the first 100 days, the Modi government approved the Unified Pension Scheme. To safeguard farmers’ interests, the Minimum Support Price has been raised. During this period, 15 new Vande Bharat trains have been launched and approval has been granted for the construction of 8 national high-speed road corridors, 8 new broad-gauge railway lines and 12 new smart cities. Additionally, Rs. 3 lakh crore has been approved for improving infrastructure further.
Ayushman Jan Arogya Yojana
Shri Nadda said that under the Prime Minister Ayushman Jan Arogya Yojana, people above the age of 70, regardless of their income or social background, will now receive free medical treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh annually. The fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana has been approved, which aims to connect 25,000 villages by constructing 62,500 kilometers of all-weather rural roads. Numerous
‘Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata’ (4S)
15-day National Social Mobilization Campaign for Clean Nation Launched
Observed annually since 2017, Swachhata Hi Seva campaign has been a precursor to Swachh Bharat Diwas, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd Oct.
Like previous years, the campaign is being jointly spearheaded by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in collaboration with the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti. Set around the theme of ‘Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata (4S)’, the campaign was rolledout from 17th Sept and will culminate on 2nd Oct., 2024.
Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata (4S) campaign has been built around three key pillars (i) Swachhata Ki Bhaagidari – Public Participation, Awareness & Advocacy Activities for Swachh Bharat, (ii) Sampoorna Swachhata – Mega Cleanliness Drives & timebound transformation of Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) viz. difficult and dirty spots and (iii) SafaiMitra Suraksha Shivir – Single-window Seva, Suraksha and Samman camps for health checkups and welfare of sanitation workers.
Embracing a ‘Whole of Society’ approach, the campaign is expected to engage citizens, industries, NGOs, development organizations, Corporators, Members of Panchayat Samiti, Gram Panchayats, urban local bodies, districts etc. Under the ‘Whole of Government’ approach, the campaign will also see participation from all States, UTs, Chief Ministers, Central Ministries, local bodies, and State Field Units/CPSUs, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assemblies, and Mayors/Chairpersons.
As part of the preparatory activities, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri C R Patil, presided over a high-level meeting with senior officials from the MoHUA & DDWS to assess and review the ongoing preparations for Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata (4S) campaign.
