In a major announcement, the Prime Minister declared that Pahadpur village would be developed as a model Solar Village, ensuring solar power generation in every household. Drawing inspiration from Odisha’s iconic Sun Temple at Konark, he said Pahadpur would become a symbol of clean energy and sustainable development.

Highlighting the Centre’s vision of “Development of Eastern India for the Development of India,” Shri Modi said Odisha occupies a central place in the Purvodaya initiative. He noted that record investments are being made in railways, highways, ports, industrial corridors, energy, semiconductors, green energy and modern manufacturing sectors to unlock the state’s enormous potential.

The Prime Minister stated that Odisha has emerged as a major investment destination through initiatives such as Utkarsh Odisha. He informed that investment proposals worth nearly Rs. 20 lakh crore have already been received, while several mega industrial projects valued at more than Rs. 3.5 lakh crore are under implementation.
