A tribute program was organized on Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas in New Delhi on 06 December 2024.

The event, hosted by the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation (SPMRF), honoured Babasaheb’s unparalleled contributions to India’s social transformation. It also celebrated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s historic recognition of Pali as a Classical Language—a milestone widely praised for preserving the rich heritage of Lord Buddha.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) Shri BL Santhosh said, “Thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Laughing Buddha is smiling again. The recognition of Pali has brought happiness to people worldwide, especially Buddhists.”

Remembering Babasaheb Ambedkar, he said, “Dr. Ambedkar is the central figure of 20th-century India who championed social justice for Indian society. His monumental contribution, the Constitution of India, will always be remembered. Over the next 60 days, the BJP will go door-to-door across the country to educate people about the Constitution of India.”

Speaking at the event, Shri Tarun Chugh emphasized the nation’s eternal gratitude to Dr. Ambedkar, who laid the foundation for equality and social justice in India. He remarked, “Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of social transformation continues to guide the nation. His contributions to empowering marginalized communities remain unmatched.
