Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 1st November 2025 addressed the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav at Nava Raipur, marking 25 years of the state’s formation. On this occasion, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth over Rs.14,260 crore, spanning key sectors such as roads, industry, healthcare, and energy.
Before the main ceremony, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, celebrating 150 years of tribal history. He also inaugurated a new Assembly building, describing it as a “temple of democracy,” and launched several new infrastructure and welfare projects from the same platform.
Highlights
–Chhattisgarh’s rural road network has expanded to 40,000 kilometres, drastically improving village connectivity.
–He added that rail and air connectivity have also seen dramatic expansion.
–When Chhattisgarh was formed, it had just one medical college; today it boasts 14 medical colleges and an AIIMS in Raipur.
–Over 5,500 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been established in the state.

–The birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda is now observed as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
–Shri Modi expressed satisfaction that Chhattisgarh is steadily freeing itself from the menace of Maoist terrorism.
–While over 125 districts across India were once affected by Maoist activity, today only three remain under its shadow.
–The day is not far when Chhattisgarh and the entire nation will be completely free from Maoist terrorism.
–To build a developed India, it is essential for Chhattisgarh to be developed.
