Shri Harinarayan Arora, a Swayamsevak from Port Blair, was instrumental in establishing the Hindi Sahitya Kala Parishad in 1962. He promoted Hindi classes, and annual Hindi fortnight by getting annual grants from the administration. He also organized several events to promote Hindi throughout the entire A & N Islands.
In 1975, Shri Harinarayan Arora was at the forefront of establishing the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in these islands. Due to his devotion, a branch of V.H.P. was opened at Port Blair for the propagation of Hindu Culture and unity amongst all Hindus on the basis of Hindu philosophy and values. He has been also the President of the Parishad for about six years. Shri Harinarayan Arora was always ahead in social services and providing help to the poor and needy.
