BJP “SANKALP PATRA” FOR TAMIL NADU RELEASED

The Bharatiya Janata Party has officially released its election manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra’, for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on 14 April 2026. Union Minister Shri JP Nadda unveiled the document on the occasion of the Tamil New Year. The event saw the presence of senior leaders, including Tamil Nadu BJP President Shri Nainar Nagendran, Shri K. Annamalai, and Shri Tamilisai Soundararajan. The manifesto outlines a comprehensive roadmap focusing on social welfare, cultural preservation, and economic relief for the citizens of the state.

Addressing the occasion Shri JP Nadda said the party has promised a monthly cash transfer of 2,000 to the female heads of every household. To address energy costs, the manifesto guarantees three free LPG cylinders per year to all families. Plus, eligible women will receive a subsidy of 25,000 for the purchase of e-scooters. In a bid to encourage property ownership among women, the party has also proposed a 3% waiver on stamp duty for first-time female homebuyers.

Shri Nadda cited a reported 51% increase in drug-related crimes in the state and raised concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation. He highlighted alleged scandals, including ‘cash-for-jobs’ and tender irregularities, accusing DMK leaders of involvement. He further criticized the ruling party for promoting nepotism and dynastic politics, positioning the BJP as the alternative for transparent governance.
