WEST BENGAL BJP ‘SANKALP PATRA’ 2026 RELEASED
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah released the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ in Kolkata ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections on 10 April 2026. The BJP manifesto aims to restore hope, ensure safety, and rebuild “Sonar Bangla”. The manifesto revolves around the concept of “Sonar Bangla”, promised a radical shift in governance, focusing heavily on national security, youth employment, and women’s safety.
Listing key commitments, Shri Amit Shah said the BJP has outlined 15 major promises in its manifesto, aimed at addressing governance, development, and security concerns in West Bengal. Shri Shah stated that the manifesto represents the people’s “pledge of trust” and provides a clear roadmap to free West Bengal from fear, disorder, and despair, aligning with the vision of PM Shri Narendra Modi for a Developed India.
He said the past 15 years under Mamata Banerjee have been like a nightmare for the people of Bengal, marked by fear, corruption, and misgovernance.
Shri Shah urged the people of West Bengal to support the BJP in forming the government and establishing a governance system based on trust and development.

-Zero tolerance against infiltration; policy of “Detect, Delete, and Deport”.
-Removal of illegal encroachments within 200 days.
-Border fencing along the India-Bangladesh border within 45 days of government formation.
-Formation of a special investigation team to probe political violence and corruption.
-3000 monthly financial assistance to every woman.
-Free bus travel for women across the state.
-21,000 support and nutrition kits for pregnant women.
-Doubling assistance for widows, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons.
-Creation of women police stations and help desks in every police station.

-5-year age relaxation for government job applicants.
-15,000 assistance for competitive exam preparation.
-10 lakh financial assistance for entrepreneurship (5 lakh grant + 5 lakh interest-free loan).
-Creation of 1 crore employment and self-employment opportunities.
-Filling all government vacancies with transparent recruitment.
-Women’s safety and empowerment with women-only police battalions, Durga Surokha Squads,
-33 per cent reservation for women in state jobs.
-Rs 3,000 monthly financial support to women.
-Support for rice, potato, and mango cultivation.
-Registration of all fishermen under the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana.
-Legislation to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), a strict law to stop cattle smuggling.
-Procurement of paddy at 3100 per quintal.
-9000 annual assistance under PM-Kisan (including 3000 from the state).
-Rejuvenate old tea gardens, strengthen Darjeeling Tea branding
-Implement Ayushman Bharat Yojana along with all Central Government schemes
