PM releases 20th instalment of PM-KISAN to 9.7 crore Farmers from Varanasi
Addressing a massive gathering in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on 02 August 2025, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi said, “Today I have come to Kashi for the first time after Operation Sindoor. When there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 26 innocent people were killed so brutally, the pain of their families, the sorrow of those children, the pain of those daughters, my heart was filled with immense pain. Then I was praying to Baba Vishwanath to give courage to all the affected families to bear this sorrow. The promise I made to take revenge for the Sindoor of my daughters has also been fulfilled. This has been possible only with the blessings of Mahadev. I dedicate the success of Operation Sindoor at his feet”
Shri Narendra Modi said such opportunities in life give a lot of inspiration. The unity of the country awakens a new consciousness in every matter and that is why Operation Sindoor is successful. The unity of 140 crore countrymen became the strength of Operation Sindoor.
Operation Sindoor was that moment of valour of the soldiers and today is an opportunity to salute the farmers. Today a huge Kisan Utsav is being organised here. 21 thousand crore rupees have been sent to the accounts of 10 crore farmer brothers and sisters of the country in the form of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Development projects worth 2 thousand crores inaugurated
Today, development projects worth more than Rs 2 thousand crores have been inaugurated and foundation stones have been laid. With the blessings of Baba, the uninterrupted flow of development in Kashi is moving forward along with Maa Ganga. I congratulate all of you, the farmers of the country. Just a few days ago, the MP Tourist Guide Competition was also organised in Kashi. That is, skill development through competition, skill development through self-effort, many experiments of this are happening in the land of Kashi today.
Prosperity of farmers
Our government is continuously working for the prosperity of farmers. In the previous governments, it was difficult to fulfill even a single announcement made in the name of farmers. But the BJP government does what it says! Today, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has become an example of the government’s firm intentions.
PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi started in 2019
You must remember, when PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi was started in 2019, what kind of rumours were anti-development people, anti-development parties like SP-Congress spreading? They were misleading people, confusing farmers, someone used to say, Modi may have brought the scheme, but the 2019 elections will be held, all this will stop, not only this, the money that Modi has deposited now, he will also withdraw that. What kind of lies do they tell? You tell me, was even a single installment ever stopped in all these years? PM Samman Kisan Nidhi is continuing without any break. Till date, 3.75 lakh crore rupees, have been sent to the accounts of farmers. It was deposited in the accounts of my farmer brothers and sisters.
Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana
Shri Narendra Modi said this month, the central government has approved another big scheme. Its name is- ‘Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’. 24 thousand crore rupees will be spent on this scheme for the welfare of farmers, for the agricultural system, for agricultural development. Those districts of the country which lagged behind in the path of development due to the wrong policies of the previous governments, remained backward, where agricultural production is also decreasing, where the income of farmers is also low, those districts will be the focus of Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana. This will benefit lakhs of farmers of UP too.
Women in agricultural economy
Our focus is also on increasing the participation of women in the agricultural economy. We are running the Lakhpati Didi campaign. Our aim is to create three crore lakhpati didis in the country, three crore lakhpati didis. These SP people will run away with their bicycles after hearing these figures. Till now more than one and a half crore lakhpati Didis have been created. Half the work of the target of 3 crore has been completed. One and a half crore of our sisters from poor families and farmers’ working in villages, one and a half crore sisters have become lakhpati didis, this is a great work being done.
Congress is constantly insulting valour of armed forces
Shri Modi said Congress is constantly insulting the valour of our armed forces. Congress has called Operation Sindoor a tamasha. You tell me, can sindoor ever be a tamasha? Can it be? Can anyone call sindoor a tamasha? The valour of our armed forces, and the audacity and shamelessness of calling it a farce in revenge for the sindoor of our sisters.
SP gave clean chit to terrorists
Samajwadi Party is also not behind in this politics of vote bank and appeasement. SP leaders were saying in the parliament, why did you kill the terrorists of Pahalgam now?
Now tell me. Should I call them and ask? Should we wait to kill terrorists too? Should they be given a chance to escape? These are the same people who used to give clean chit to terrorists when they were in power in UP. The cases against terrorists who carried out bomb blasts were withdrawn. Now they are having problems when terrorists are killed. They are facing problems in the name of Operation Sindoor. I want to say this to these people from the land of Kashi. This is the new India. This new India worships Bholenath and also knows how to become Kalbhairav in front of the enemies of the country.
