BJP National President’s Bihar Pravas
BJP National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda participated in several organizational programs and a conclave of Prabhat Khabar in Patna, during his visit to Bihar on 13 September 2025. He also chaired the Bihar State Core Committee meeting and inspected the Akhand Jyoti Hospital in Chapra. In the evening, he held organizational meetings at the state BJP office in Patna. All the state party leaders were present with him
BJP National President and Union Minister Shri JP Nadda first addressed the conclave in Patna and in his address highlighted the NDA’s contribution to Bihar’s development and emphasized the state’s historical, educational, and cultural significance. He recalled the era in Bihar when the state was gripped by fear, kidnappings, and extortion, contrasting it with the progressive Bihar of today. He pointed out that there was a time when engineers, professionals, and businessmen from Bihar were afraid to return home. Kidnappings were so rampant that ransom rates were standardized. Students in universities faced the humiliation of not being able to take their exams on time.
INDIA alliance: Neither clear vision nor mission
He stated that the RJD and the INDIA alliance have neither a clear vision nor a mission. The RJD government’s mindset symbolized anti-development governance. Even after such a long period of dark rule, the RJD leadership never apologized to the people. He said, “How can someone who doesn’t acknowledge their mistakes shape Bihar’s future?”
Bihar is on a new path of development
Shri Nadda said in the last 20 years, Bihar has embarked on a new path of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar. Thanks to the policies of the Modi government, India is moving towards becoming the fifth, then fourth, and now the third largest economy in the world. International organizations are also praising India – the IMF has called India a “bright spot” and the World Bank has appreciated its stable growth.
Next-generation GST reforms
While discussing the next-generation GST reforms, Shri Nadda said today, the tax structure has been simplified and limited to two slabs of 5% and 18%. Referring to the progress in the defence sector, he said that India is now exporting defence equipment worth thousands of crores of rupees. Today, 88% of ammunition is being produced within the country. Achievements like the Brahmos missile have further strengthened India’s global standing. Discussing new achievements in railways, airports, and healthcare, he said that 20 Vande Bharat trains have been launched so far. 98 modern railway stations are being developed in the state.
Bihar BJP’s core committee meeting
After the conclave, Shri Nadda held a meeting with the Bihar BJP’s core committee at the party’s state office in Patna. Senior leaders and party Karyakartas from across the state participated in the meeting. Shri Nadda clarified that the BJP’s objective is not merely to attain power, but to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and services reach every citizen of the state. The meeting also included a detailed discussion on strategies for the upcoming assembly elections and the party’s development initiatives in the state. Shri Nadda encouraged the party workers to play a dedicated and active role so that the party’s vision and mission can be realized at all levels.
