Amit Shah addresses Karyakartas of Saharsa, Purnia & Bhagalpur divisions in Araria (Bihar)
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a meeting of BJP Karyakartas at the Mandal level from the Koshi, Purnia, and Bhagalpur regions in Araria (Bihar) on 27 September 2025. He called on party workers to once again form a development-oriented NDA government in Bihar. He said that the people of Bihar will ensure the NDA’s victory in over 160 seats and form the government.
Shri Shah said that while all political parties hold public rallies when election campaigns begin, the Bharatiya Janata Party is the first party to organize Karyakartas’ convention. More than 4,000 selected Karyakartas from the Bhagalpur, Koshi, and Purnia regions were present today. In the 2020 assembly elections, the NDA alliance secured the top spot in every district except Kishanganj. The NDA alliance also secured the top spot in Navgachhia, Bhagalpur, Banka, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Supaul, Saharsa, and Madhepura. This time, BJP workers will accomplish the remaining work in Kishanganj.
Rs. 10,000 reached to Jeevika Didis in Bihar
Shri Shah said just as the Rs. 10,000 reached the Jeevika Didis accounts recently in Bihar, similarly, the respected Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is annually transferring Rs. 6,000 to the accounts of farmers, and this time they are expected to have a bumper harvest, which will increase their income. This Diwali, we must all pledge to prioritize indigenous products in all our purchases.
Lalu Prasad and his company looted the state
In Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his company looted the state and committed numerous scams, while the Congress party plundered the country’s resources through scams worth Rs. 12 lakh crore. Over the past 11 years, the Modi government has operated with such transparency that no one has been able to level a single corruption charge against him.
The Union Home Minister said Rahul Gandhi recently visited Bihar and organized a yatra. He undertook this yatra to protest the Election Commission’s removal of infiltrators from Bihar’s voter lists. Lalu Yadav and Rahul Gandhi want infiltrators to have the right to vote in Bihar. Rahul Gandhi should listen carefully: not only in Bihar, he can organize yatras anywhere, but BJP is determined to expel every infiltrator, one by one. Lalu Yadav and Rahul Gandhi’s parties want to protect infiltrators, but the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to expel them.
The Makhana Board
He said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done a lot of work for the development of Bihar. It was from the land of Purnia that the Prime Minister, announced the Makhana Board. A 2400 MW coal power plant was established in Bhagalpur. Shri Narendra Modi had promised an airport for Purnia, and that promise has been fulfilled. Today, all four airports—Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, and Purnia—are operational, and Bihta Airport will also be operational soon. Shri Narendra Modi has given Bihar a total of six airports.
Previously, when Nepal’s rivers flowed into India, the Kosi River would flood, but now there’s no need to worry about that. Shri Narendra Modi announced the Kosi-Mechi Link Project in the 2025 budget, which will provide water for irrigation in fields instead of flooding.
The NDA government of Bihar has increased the old age pension, widow pension and disability pension from Rs.400 to Rs.1100.
Shri Shah said with the joint efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, a grand temple of Sita Mata has also been built at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi at a cost of Rs. 900 crore.
