On 10 June, 2026, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi achieved a historic distinction by becoming the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister of India, completing 4,399 consecutive days in office. • The BharatNet project has connected over 2.14 lakh Gram Panchayats through optical fibre networks, bringing rural India into the digital mainstream.
• India has emerged as the global leader in digital payments. UPI transactions have increased over 12,000 times, with annual transaction volumes crossing Rs. 314 lakh crore.
• Technology has also enhanced transparency through digital dashboards, the GeM portal, faceless taxation, and online service delivery systems.
Infrastructure Revolution
• Infrastructure development has become one of the strongest pillars of India’s growth story under the Modi Government.
• The national highway network expanded from 91,287 km in 2014 to over 1.46 lakh km. Highway construction accelerated from 11.6 km per day in 2014 to over 34 km per day today.

• Several landmark infrastructure projects such as the Chenab Bridge, Atal Tunnel, and New Pamban Bridge have demonstrated India’s engineering capabilities and strengthened connectivity in difficult terrains.
• Railway modernization has accelerated dramatically. More than 99.6 percent of broad-gauge railway routes have been electrified. Over 1,337 railway stations are being upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
