Editor of Devkamal, Ram Pratap Mishra ‘Saketi’ is no more

     Senior journalist and editor of Devkamal, in Uttrakhand Shri Ram Pratap Mishra ‘Saketi’ passed away on 22 February 2026 in Bulandshahr. Born on 1 March 1958 in Alawalpur village of Ayodhya, he shaped an extraordinary life through hard work, values, and conviction. As editor of Devkamal, he transformed it into a powerful platform. Throughout his life, he contributed significantly to education, journalism, and administration.

A talented poet and Awadhi lyricist, ‘Saketi’ Ji enriched literature through his creative works. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed heartfelt condolences on the demise of Rampratap Mishra. He said,” The sudden demise of Shri Ram Prasad Mishra ‘Saketi’ is extremely painful and heartbreaking.

With his passing away, not only has the Bharatiya Janata Party family lost a dedicated, hardworking,and committed worker, but society has also lost a personality who devoted his entire life to organization, ideology, and service to the nation. He noted that his life symbolised discipline, hard work, and commitment. He added, “In this hour of grief, I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family, his well-wishers, and the entire BJP family. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family to bear this immense loss.” A condolence meeting was held at the Uttarakhand BJP headquarters, where leaders and colleagues paid heartfelt tributes and remembered his invaluable contributions.
