Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on 01 June, 2020 said the Central government wanted to strengthen the healthcare facilities in states before sending back migrant workers, as he spoke about India’s battle against Covid-19 and the one year of the Modi government 2.0 in a conversation with media.
- Shri Amit Shah said the country is well-placed against the Coronavirus pandemic as cases are comparatively fewer in India, and the mortality rate, too, is lower compared to the global average.
- He said the entire world is praising how India has managed to control the spread of virus under PM Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership.
- Answering on the border standoff with China Shri Shah said, “We can’t take the issue of LAC lightly. The government will not compromise one bit on this issue. We are dealing with both militarily and diplomatically.”
