Bharatiya Janata Party will soon touch the seven crore members mark through the membership drive that began on 6th of July and concluded on 20th of this month.
Working President Shri JP Nadda said, over 5 crore 81 lakh people have taken up membership through on-line mode and counting for off-line and other modes is in process. He said, before the drive, membership was of 11 crore and this time membership through on-line mode is more than fifty percent of the previous members strength.
Shri Nadda said, during this period, a huge trend was seen in all sections to become a member of the BJP and people from all sections of society showed interest in joining BJP. West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir also showed special trend regarding BJP membership.
Shri Nadda said, a plantation drive in view of environmental awareness were also carried out under the “Sangathan Parv” – Membership Campaign 2019″ program. A total of 19,66,074 trees were planted during this period.
