BJP ‘Sankalp Patra’ for Maharashtra released

Union Home & Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah released the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 in Mumbai on 10 November 2024. During the event, Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, BJP National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde, BJP Maharashtra President Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and other leaders were present. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Shri Shah highlighted the achievements of the NDA-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, emphasizing economic growth and infrastructure development. He criticized the MVA alliance for its internal contradictions and failure to deliver on promises and its alignment with groups that oppose Maharashtra’s cultural and social values.

Shri Shah remarked that the release of the ‘Sankalpa Patra’ represents the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra and reflects the greatness of its land. Maharashtra has been at the forefront of leadership in every field nationwide for centuries. The Bhakti movement started here, the struggle for freedom was led by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from this very land and the social revolution also began in Maharashtra. The NDA-led Mahayuti government has worked towards honouring farmers, implementing measures for the welfare of the poor, and has introduced schemes to empower women and enhance their dignity. Additionally, the Mahayuti government has undertaken efforts to restore and preserve the nation’s heritage.

He highlighted that for the first time after Jammu and Kashmir’s return to freedom, the state’s election and the Chief Minister’s oath were taken in accordance with Dr Ambedkar’s Constitution, which is the highest tribute to Dr Ambedkar. Following the abrogation of Article 370, leaders in Jammu and Kashmir swore allegiance to the true Constitution of India, a moment of pride for the entire nation. Through the ‘Sankalpa Patra’, the Mahayuti government has committed to promoting the legacies of great leaders, preserving cultural heritage, and advancing national traditions. The ‘Sankalpa Patra’ outlines a plan to create a strong, prosperous, and secure Maharashtra.

Shri Shah pointed out that in the upcoming Maharashtra elections, the Mahayuti is contesting against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The MVA’s policies are driven by a hunger for power, focused on appeasement and undermining ideological values and are disconnected from Maharashtra’s culture. The MVA’s approach seeks to manipulate the state’s traditions for political gain.

Shri Shah said this manifesto has been created by incorporating the suggestions of every section, region, age group and social class of Maharashtra. This manifesto is a reflection of the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra. Whenever a BJP-led government forms in Maharashtra, the state progresses, but when the Congress-led alliance government comes to power, only politics is played. To empower the youth of Maharashtra and make the state the leading one in the country across all sectors, it is essential to form a Mahayuti government under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi.
